I knit a simple cashmere scarf for my husband this Christmas. The knitting pattern is a piece of cake: if you know how to knit and purl, you should have no problem with this project. I used a rather expensive cashmere yarn ($34 a skein,) because I wanted the scarf to look strikingly simple and elegant, but you can obviously pick something simpler.
Yarn: Anzula Cricket in charcoal, 1 skein ( I had enough left of that single skein to knit a hat and a scarf for my little boy, too after I was finished with the big scarf.)
Needles: US 5 (3.75 mm);
