200 g rice flour ( fried ) Salt- ¼ teaspoon 25 g grated coconut ( for mixing with rice flour ) 100 g grated coconut 50 g jaggery or 50 g sugar ( mix 100 g grated coconut and 50 g jaggery / sugar together ) 50 ml water 50 g dates ( finely chopped )
Mix flour with salt and 25 g grated coconut.
Gradually add water little by little. Mix. The flour should be wet enough for steaming but not too watery.
Layer puttu maker ( make into layers like ‘’ sushi ‘’ ) with some grated coconut- jaggery / sugar mixture and rice flour mixture. Layer again with grated coconut-jaggery/ sugar mixture. Steam for 2- 3 minutes.
