Is there a low-calorie, vegan alternative to cheese to work as the 'glue' in a veggie lasagna?

Posted by Pele

I am looking to make a low-calorie, vegan lasagna as something of a treat for myself.  I've already decided to do thin strips of eggplant in place of noodles, but the cheese is the tricky part.  Is there something else that can work to hold the veggies together, without all the calories?

I have had vegan lasagne made with tofu that was delicious- similar to this one:  http://www.thedailygreen.com/healthy-eating/recipes/vegan-tofu-spinach-lasagna
