Knocked off a big Micro to-do this morning which set me up for a relaxing lunch
SO nice eating at home and not having Chem Lab. I better not get used to it, though, because I have many weeks left before the semester ends. Breakfast didn’t hold me over as long as I’d hoped - my stomach rumbled around 11:10, but I had a seltzerwater and ended up going to 1pm while I finished up my work before I was ready for lunch. Guess my stomach thought those bubbles were food!
For lunch I knew I needed to eat the leftover chicken soup. My plan was to have the cup of soup with a romaine salad, but when I got out the veggies to put in the salad I decided just to cook them and have a bowl of veggies with the soup poured on top. It worked out quite nicely!

To the soup I added: a carrot, a small yellow squash, a few more purple beans, and 1/3 of a greenpepper, all sauteed in a skillet until lightly charred.

On the side I had a piece of toast with raspberry jam (the end piece, which was extra thick!)

And a small orange

‘Twas a great lunch!

For dessert, I had about 10 tiny meringue bites. No photo because it was spontaneous!!
