Honey has anti-microbial properties and is known to treat minor irritations and sun burns.

It is a good substance that should be used in moisturizers, creams and other beauty products as honey has the ability to retain water.

One teaspoon of honey poured in a mug of water and if used for the last rinse will bring a shine to the hair. It will work wonders and make your hair soft and silky.

It works well with alpha hydroxy acids - it helps soothe the skin against an abrasive treatment.

Apply equal parts of honey and milk and leave for twenty minutes, you will notice a glow on your skin.

Honey fights against any kind of skin damage and ageing as it has antioxidant properties.

It also helps to fight against the damage caused by sun's UV rays.

Honey is one of the easiest foods to digest.

Honey is used in many cough syrups because its smooth, thick texture soothes throats.

As a result of honey's unique ability to readily absorb air, it is often used as a moistening agent in baking.

Honey comes in all types of colors and flavors. The color and flavor of honey depends on the how old the honey is and the kind of flower that the nectar was extracted from.

Cleanse your skin by applying honey mixed with equal quantities of lemon juice and milk.

Nourish and tone up your skin with a mixture of one tbsp honey with two tbsp finely ground almonds and half a tsp lemon juice.

Make your own hair conditioner. Mix half cup honey and quarter cup olive oil. Apply a small quantity at a time through your hair, till fully coated. Cover the hair with a shower cap and leave it for half an hour. Remove the cap, shampoo and rinse.


To treat cracked lips, apply half tsp fresh milk cream with quarter tsp honey and 2 to 3 drops of rose water on your lips.

To smoothen cracked skin, coat with a mixture of 2 drops honey and 2 tsp milk. Rinse with warm water.


Make your own face pack with one tsp yeast and one tbsp honey. Apply the paste and leave for 15 minutes before washing with cold water.

Make a conditioning face pack with a mixture of one tbsp honey, one egg white, one tsp glycerine and enough flour to make a quarter cup of paste. Apply smoothly over your face and throat. Rinse with warm water after 10 minutes.

To cure baldness or hair loss, apply a paste of hot olive oil, one tbsp of honey and one tsp of cinnamon powder before bathing. Keep it on for about 15 minutes and then wash your hair.


To get rid of pimples, make a paste with three tbsp of honey and one tsp cinnamon powder. Apply the paste on the pimples before sleeping and wash it the next morning with warm water. Do it daily for 2 weeks and you will find your pimples gone from the roots.
