I have always liked Valentine’s Day to some degree. I mean I had my fair share of Valentine’s Days that were just terrible and then I’ve had some really good ones. You take the good with the bad. It is a commercialized holiday. I do think you should tell those that you love how much you love and care about them every day. I don’t need one day out of the year to tell those how much I care. I think it should be done all the time and every day. I am still a girl though and do like the whole aspect of wearing red or pink, and the pink and red colored candies and things of that nature. I can’t deny that.
So today, I am going to dedicate this post to my Valentine of 8 years now, Mike! I am going to do something different and incorporate our wedding song lyrics to pictures of us. Our wedding song was, “When You Got a Good Thing” by Lady Antebellum. That song means a lot to us and so does Lady Antebellum so I’m going to use that as a theme of today.
“Everybody keeps telling me I’m such a lucky man Lookin at you standin there I know I am Barefooted beauty with eyes that blue The sun shine sure looks good on you I swear”
“Oh I can’t believe I finally found you baby Happy ever after, after all this time“
“Oh there’s gonna be some ups and downs but with you to wrap my arms around I’m fine”
“So baby, hold on tight Don’t let go Hold onto the love we’re making Cause baby when the ground starts shakin You gotta know when you’ve got a good thing”
“You know you keep on bringin out the best of me And I need you now even more than the air I breathe”
“You can make me laugh when I wanna cry This will last forever I just know, I know”
“So baby, hold on tight Don’t let go Hold onto the love we’re making Cause baby when the ground starts shakin You gotta know when you’ve gotta good thing”
“We got a good thing, baby, woah So hold on tight Baby, don’t let go Hold onto the love we’re making Cause baby when the ground starts shakin”
“You gotta know, oh you gotta know Oh you gotta know, you gotta know When you got a good thing”
“We got a good thing baby Woah, woah, woah, woah”
Happy Valentine’s Day to my husband, Mike! Words cannot express how much you truly mean to me. I hope you have the most wonderful Valentine’s Day! I love you so much!
Do you like Valentine’s Day? Do you do anything special to celebrate?
We aren’t doing anything that special tonight. We are just going to make a simple dinner at home and bake some desserts to go along with it. I’d rather do something low-key then waste a ton of money on going out to eat. It’s simple and that’s fine by me.
