Sept 13, 2009 009

You can probably tell from reading my blog that I love my job to bits. Not only do I get to meet amazing people, but I get to make really awesome food, inspire others to feel their best, all while wearing flowers in my hair and mismatched oven mitts on my hands.

Now I know many of you live far too far away to come over and play, bur I wanted to interrupt this regularly scheduled program to let those of you closer to the Making Love In The Kitchen Headquarters (downton Toronto) that I have a couple spots open in this week’s classes and workshop.Help me spread the word!

Come one, come all, bring your mom, sister, brother, boyfriend, girlfriend, partner and for sure bring your lover!

In great health,

Meghan

Healthy Desserts and Treats

(CANNP Upgrading Value: 3 hours)

This class is ideal for:

  • parents who are trying to get their kids to eat healthier but still don’t want to deprive them of some treats now and then
  • anyone on a restricted diet who suddenly finds themselves unable to eat wheat/gluten, dairy and sugar and are wondering what to do when the sweet tooth kicks in
  • anyone who is up for a little guilt-free indulgence once in a while.

Using alternative flours, natural sweeteners and creativity, together we’ll create basic wholesome treats with a plethora (love the word plethora) of suggestions and optional add-ins on  ways to modify the recipes to provide dozens of healthy treat options. We’ll be baking up cakes and cookies, baked granola bars and raw power bars, simple spreads and jams and perhaps a little ice cream. All, of course, gluten, dairy, sugar, corn and soy free.
