This year my Dad planted an organic garden - he didn't use any pesticides and guess what? The garden was probably one of the best we've ever had! He really enjoyed the garden this year - normally he doesn't want to work in the garden and he never stakes up the plants (much to the chagrin of my mother), but this year he was excited to grow the plants - we even planted some cantaloupe (can't wait to see how those come out!) I say we because I helped water the plants on occasion... when we didn't have a lot of rain here in Ohio. But really the credit goes to him - he did all the work and it turned out great!

Annnd this thing - it's Kohlrabi
I guess its like a Turnip (looking for a recipe now!)
So Stay tuned to see what I make with all of this fabulous produce! Plus we have about 12 Cantaloupes that are just about ripe as well! Can't Wait! Still to come this summer - corn and tomatoes - there is nothing like free produce!
