Happy Friiiiiiday!! TGIF!! (BTW, whenever I think of TGIF I think of elementary school when I would go over to my best friend Kathleen’s house to watch Boy Meets World, Sabrina, and all the rest of the amazing TGIF lineup while chowing down on Domino’s extra-cheese pizza. That was the life!)
I hope you all have some fun plans in the works for this weekend (I know I do!!) but now we just have to make it until the end of the day. It’s soooo close, but still soooo far. Sigh. Maybe looking at my favorite photos from this week will help your day (and mine!) move a little faster.
Favorite Holiday Decor
While I was at my grandparent’s house last weekend , my grandma decided to let me have some of her old Christmas decorations. What a sweet heart, right? Well, in addition to a beautiful tree skirt, a bunch of ornaments, and her mother’s (!!) old cookie cutters, she gave me this cute little decoration to hang above my kitchen. Isn’t it festive? She’s so sweet!
Favorite Holiday Decor II
Another decoration I’m loving around my apartment right now is this fun poinsettia plant that I scooped up at Home Depot last weekend. You can see a full picture of it here , but I wanted to take a minute to show you a zoomed in shot of its glittery leaves. Isn’t that the cutest touch? I love how festive the sparkles feel
Favorite Holiday Accessories
Since we’re getting all holiday-festive up in here, I thought I’d show you guys the earrings I’m sporting today. Can you see them? They are cute little holiday bows! They also have glitter on them. I saw them last year (on Pinterest? I think?) and ordered them online for like $2. Pretty sweet deal, no? At least they will fun to wear to holiday parties (when I’m not wearing ornaments as earrings, which I’ve been known to do) and on Christmas. Yay!
Favorite Holiday Accessories II Another one of my favorite holiday accessories are these fun sparkly gold flats from Steve Madden. I always feel kind of silly wearing them during the rest of the year since they are so sparkly, but in December I think they are totally appropriate. Plus they go with my gold bow earrings Duh! Haha.
You guys. I have the BEST aunt in the world. Seriously, she is too sweet! Remember when we went up to her house after Thanksgiving and she had that wonderful spread of food ready for us? Well she made this awesome pound cake in a beautiful bundt pan and we were all oohing and ahhing over how great it came out (not to mention stuffing our faces with it since it was THAT good). Somewhere along the way I mentioned that I needed to buy a bundt pan, and then look what showed up in the mail earlier this week. Isn’t she so sweet?!? It’s also really good quality (which I probably would have skimped on if I had bought one for myself, knowing my tight budget) which should help the baked goods to come out even better. I am in love and cannot wait to put it to use. If you have any good holiday bundt pan recipes feel free to pass them my way!
Favorite Picture of Jack
Love this picture because Jack looks so cute and snuggly. I just want to curl up with him under that fuzzy blanket.
Mooooom, stop taking pictures of meeeee.
Favorite Picture of JackII (yes I seem to have two of everything this week. Don’t kill me.)
I also love this one because he’s so clearly watching TV with his daddy. Boys! Haha! I wish I could remember what was on…I’m fairly sure it was not Animal Planet lol.
Favorite Work Event
This week we had our office holiday party! It was such a blast and I made good use of the open bar, great food, and of course, the photo booth! Here I am with all of my coworkers who went to University of Maryland with me. We had such a good time!! After the actual office party we left to go to two more bars, where Fabio met up with us. It was really nice introducing him to some of my coworkers who he hadn’t met yet. So much fun!
Sadly, on my way to the third bar after the office party, I left my phone in a cab. UGH!!! It was in my jacket pocket (not very securely) and it must have tumbled out as I got out of the cab. Although I tried to use the find my iPhone app the next day, my phone was turned off so it didn’t work. Wahhh. Luckily when I went to AT&T I found out I was eligible for an upgrade, so I got a brand new white iPhone 5!! Although I’m really excited to have a cool new phone, I’m more mad at myself for losing my old phone and having to pay $200 for a new one. It could have been worse for sure, but I am still sorta beating myself up over it. Will I ever stop losing/breaking phones? Probably not. Oh well, this time I got insurance on it
So there you have it! My favorite photos from the week! It was definitely a fun week and if you couldn’t tell, I am totally embracing my holiday spirit haha!
Have a great weekend!!!
Just as one more note, I was originally planning to do a Weight Watchers update today, but I think it would probably be better to wait until Monday. That way, it will have been one whole week since I started and it can be a more thorough recap. Plus, it’s the weekdays that are “easy.” The weekend should really put my will to test. So, look for an update on Monday!
