Fave Five Friday: Healthified Christmas Goodies

Christmas is only 4 days away!!!!

I am uber excited as this really is my favorite occasion of the year! I just love the cheer, joy, togetherness, the beauty, the laughs, the relaxation… oh and the food.

So this Friday I am bringing you my five favorite Healthified Christmas Goodies from the blogosphere! These are all made with wholesome, unrefined ingredients, and much better for you to mow down on than a box of those ‘to-die-for’ chocolates that “pop” a new dimple in your butt with each one you eat! :)

1. Gluten Free Molasses Cookies from Queen Of Quinoa

Don’t those cookies just look like pillows of chewy deliciousness!? They are made with unrefined gluten free flours, date sugar, applesauce, and stevia as the sweeteners, and the lovely spices that make that delicious gingerbready flavor! Yum, I’m so making these for “Santa”.

 

2. Double Layer Peppermint Bark from Oatmeal With A Fork

First of all anything “bark” is delicious, but usually it’s pumped full of fat and sugar with a mix of milk chocolate, candied somethin’ rather, and other high calorie treats! This bark however, keeps the wonderful Christmas flavor of peppermint but replaces the bad with the good with a mix of coconut butter, cocoa powder, maple syrup, and pure extracts! Topped with a little sprinkling of candy cane… ok it can’t ALL be good sometimes!! This bark would be perfect to give as a sweet little gift this Christmas!

 

3. Chocolate Honey Gingerbread Stars from Paleoliscious

Ah, gingerbread goodness again. Don’t those little star cookies just look so pretty and festive?? They sure do! And, not only are they wonderful to look at, they are also made with wonderfully good ingredients! Oatmeal, almonds, walnuts, rice flour, honey, and coconut oil all come together to make up these delicious little cookies – nothing refined, no dairy, no gluten, no refined sugar, and no nonsense! Yum!

 

4. Chocolate Walnut Pecan Date Pie from Chow Vida

Pie. Just the word brings a smile to my face, and if you caught Wednesdays  Frozen Pumpkin Pie Dessert , then you would already know I’m a fan of pie! This one looks extra delicious with the walnuts and pecans scattered throughout the rich date base! You’d never guess how simple this pie is, and healthy to boot! It’s made with dates, walnuts, pecans, maple syrup, flaxseed, almond milk, and cocoa powder… that’s it, that’s all! A wonderful pie idea for Christmas!

 

5. Chocolate Pumpkin Microwave Cupcakes from Chockohlawtay

I love pretty looking desserts, and this one I think takes the cake.. the cupcake that is… the CHOCOLATE PUMPKIN CUPCAKE! Yum! These little delights are made in… wait for it.. less than 5 minutes. FIVE MINUTES! The healthy ,delicious ingredients top it all off and make me super happy – I just love healthy desserts! Oat flour, flaxseed, almond milk, cocoa powder, cinnamon, pure pumpkin puree, and truvia! Pop it all in the microwave and … perfection!

 

I hope everyone has a wonderful pre-Christmas weekend scrambling around to finish their shopping, decorating, cooking, etc..! Why don’t you whip up one of these wonderful goodies while you are at it.. I mean.. 5 minute cupcakes.. how could you not!? :)
