Fall is in the air, so it’s time to celebrate with a happy orange fall sensory tub. Our maple tree has almost fully changed the colors of its leaves, so we took advantage: the kids gathered the leaves and put them in the tub. I added things that reminded me of fall: small pumpkins, nice-smelling cinnamon sticks, plastic apples, popping corn and green lentils. I also added some dry uncooked penne pasta, because it’s fun to use it as a tube for throwing the lentils. I gave the kids some spoons, an old egg carton ( to sort the lentils and the corn) and some paper cups. My favorite thing about this sensory tub is definitely its smell: nothing beats fresh maple leaves, combined with cinnamon. The kids loved it, too: they kept sniffing the tub.
