We did this Earth Day craft at the Botanical Garden’s kids’ workshop today. It’s a wonderful little project to teach toddlers, preschoolers and older kids the need to protect and love the Earth.
White paper plate, green finger paint, blue crayons, glue, brown and pink construction paper, pen, scissors
Allow the younger kids to color the plate with a blue crayon. Cover the kids’ hands in green paint and let them stamp the hands on the plate. While the plate is drying, the older kids can trace the shape of their hands on the brown paper, cut the hands out of the construction paper; cut the hearts out of pink paper and eventually glue one or two pairs of the hands and one or two hearts onto the plate.
