So last week when I told you about my DIY key ring, I alluded to the fact that I did more than 1 project which is in fact true.

For MONTHSSSSS I have been talking about making this chalk board cork board thanggg. I finally made it and guess what, since it has been hung I have yet to use it.

Note to self: by chalk and push pins this weekend!

DIY Chalk Board and Cork Board
What you need:
Plywood(and a curious dog if you have one)

cork board (at A.C. Moore I found cork board that was rolled up)

Ruler: to evenly divide your board in half

Chalk board paint

Paint half of your board with a heavy coat of chalk board paint, you can do another coat later but the box suggests waiting several hours before doing so

After you paint it, glue your cork board down with a glue that is cork board compatible. I found an Elmer’s spray glue that worked well.

This is what your final product will look like

I am thinking I need to build a small shelf to put chalk on. I wonder how long it will take me to actually do that!
