I’m actually not a huge fan of sugar cookies. The only reason I made any this year is because my Certain Little Someone’s AWANA Cubbies class is going to be having a sugar-cookie-frosting party and I needed to make his own allergen-free sugar cookies so he could participate.
I’m glad I did, though! The end result was more delicious – and healthier – than I had imagined, plus my Certain Little Someone had SO much fun helping me make the dough, roll it, shape it, and frost it. Totally worth it, in my opinion!
In fact, we’ve made this recipe twice already in just a week’s time! We’ll probably whip up another batch before the holiday season is over, and I bet this recipe will come in handy for Valentine’s Day and other shaped-cookie-worthy occasions.
