Thursday the weather was even cooler and windier so we decided to do some tourism through Sintra and Cascais. TO park in SIntra can turn out to be quite a challenge so we parked the cars in São Pedro de SIntra, then walked through tight roads that amazingly enough are two-ways yet one would never imagine such. When in Sintra we had just a few little snacks such as croquetes de carne (meat croquets), rissois de camarão (shrimp turnovers), pasteis de bacalhau (salt cod fritters) and so on.
Then we took a little trolley and went through the historical areas of Sintra, such as the Palacio da Pena, Palacio Nacional, Quinta da Regaleira, Castelo dos Mouros and other absolutely gorgeous buildings and scenery.
Then we headed to Cascais and walked through the downtown streets and went for ice cream at Santini, a MUST when visiting Cascais.
