Cream of mushroom soup , Mushroom pulao & Mushroom tarts

Cream of mushroom soup

You need

100 g button mushroom
1 onion
1 small potato
4 cups water
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon cornflour
1 tablespoon butter
Salt to taste
1/4 teaspoon white pepper powder

Method

Peel , chop and boil the onion and potato in 2 cups of water. Blend in a mixer and sieve.Grind half of the mushroom and finely chop the remaining. Heat butter. Add corn flour into it and cook for a minute on low heat. Add milk and cook till thick. Add stock , 2 cups of water and ground and chopped mushrooms. Add salt and pepper to tatse. Bring to the boil and let it simmer for 5 minutes. Serve hot.



MushroomPulao

Ingredients

2 cups basmati rice
4 cups of water
100 g mushroom
1 onion,chopped
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon whole garammasalas
( 3 bay leaves, 3 crushed cardamoms, 4 cloves, 3 cinnamon sticks )
1/2 teaspoon garammasala powder
Cooking oil

Method

Wash and soak rice for 15 minutes. Cut mushrooms into 2 and fry in oil. Add wholegarammasalaand onion. Fry onion till brown. Add rice, mushrooms,salt and 4 cups of water. bring it to the boil. Cover with a lid and cook on a low flame till rice is done. Sprinklegarammasala powder and serve hot.



Mushroom Tarts

Ingredients

1 cup all purpose flour
1 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon baking powder
Salt to taste
1 cup chopped mushroom
2 tablespoon boiled peas
1 tomato , chopped
1 onion, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Make a hard dough of flour , oil , baking powder and salt. Divide into 10 - 12 parts. Roll out and make into tart shells. Bake at 190 * C for 10 minutes.Boil mushrooms and mix with other ingredients. Fill the mixture into baked tart shells and serve with tomato sauce.
