Ffion is here today to take over my blog! I loveeee her blog so I’m excited to introduce you all to her!
Hello Moves and Munchies readers! I’m Ffion and I blog over at Chocolate and Raspberries ! Here is an acronym with little facts about me, so that you get an idea what CHOCOLATE AND RASPBERRIES is all about!
Cis for Chocolate! Duh! This was an obvious one right? My favourite Chocolate is either Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Twix, or Lindt with Sea Salt…or Dairy Milk Fruit and Nut… or Green and Balcks Maya Gold, or any kind of brownie… or cake… don’t make me choose just one!! What’s yours?
H is for healthy mind equals a healthy body. I definately think that positive thinking is key when trying to lose weight or when leading a healthy lifestyle. If you look after your mind, everything else will follow.
Ois for Oats! I like eating mine raw with some greek yogurt and fruit! Or cooked on the hob with some blueberries so that I get pink oats!
Cis for Cooking! I love cooking! My favourite recipe at the moment is anything that involves grains such as the above Mediterranean Giant Couscous , quinoa, millet, wild rice or bulgar wheat! They are all so versatile but really filling! And most importantly yummy!
O is for only eating wholegrains. This kind of follows on from the above, but I try to always opt for wholemeal bread, rice and pasta. They taste so much better in my opinion, I love the extra nuttiness! Plus the extra fibre helps keep you fuller for longer, and no spike in blood sugar due to processed white flour. Win, win!
Lis for Living Life. I won’t put my life on hold just because I’m trying to lose weight. And if this means that the scales don’t always go in a downward direction, then so be it, this is a lifestyle change, and I don’t plan on living my life without the occasional slice of pizza.
A is for Apples! Pink ladies are my absolute favourite, I’ve become a bit of an apple snob and refuse to buy anything else! Although I do love the tanginess of a Granny Smith every now and again. I love apples because they are so portable. Perfect snack!
T is for Tea! I am an absolute tea fiend! My favourite being a traditional black tea, but I also love Assam and Darjeeling, closely followed by Chai teas and Mint teas!
E is for exercising. Its something I love to hate! My exercise routine consists of running 1-2 times a week, and doing one of Jillian’s Dvd’s 3-5 times a week. Jillian’s kicking my bum.
R is for raspberries! Obviously! I’ll let you into a little secret: raspberries aern’t my favourite fruit, not even my favourite berry! Controversial I know! I’ll eat them, and I love raspberry flavoured yogurts, but I actually much prefer blueberries. DUN DUN DUH!
A is for amazing. Cos we all are amazing!
S is for smoothies. I love smoothies, they are so refreshing and such a great way of sneaking in loads of fruit veggies and superfoods!
Pis for Peanut Butter! And all nut butters in general! I love the Meridian brand, as I love the variety. I think my favourite is the cashew butter, but my opinion is ever changing as they are all pretty good!
B is for breakfast. I’m always one of those people who just grabs something as I am running out of the door in the morning, and just scoff it down while driving or when I get to my desk at work. However I love weekends when I get the chance to sit down and enjoy breakfasts, wether that be pancakes, oats or eggs.
E is for everything in moderation. This is my mantra.
Ris for Running. I’ve already mentioned running above, but I have not gone into how much I love running! I’m only just starting to get into it, I’m doing the whole run and walk interval thing, while following the NHS C25K plan by downloading the podcasts- they are really useful.
R is for recipes! I love recipies! I’ve just boght Vegan with a Vengeance and am looking forward to trying some new foods, but I generally just go with the flow and make my own up!
I is for Iestyn, my long suffering boyfriend, who pops up on the blog every now and again, and has to put up with my ‘food blogger talk’! Poor guy!
Eis for eggs. Quite possibly my favourite food ever, boiled, fried, poached, scrambled, I love them all!
Sis for Salads. Such a super fun way of getting all the veg in with loads of yummy toppings!
This was actually really fun to write, I got to look at all my photographs, brought back loads of memories over the past ten months since starting my blog. Thank you for having me Carrie!
