Chicken with lemon honey sauce

2 large chicken breasts ( cut into strips )

For batter :

3 tablespoon corn flour
2 tablespoon flour
1 beaten egg white

Mix the above ingredients together, add chicken pieces and salt and white pepper to taste .

For lemon honey sauce :

2 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon each of garlic and ginger paste
1 ½ cup chicken stock
1 ½ tablespoon corn flour blended with 3 tablespoon water and 2 tablespoon honey
1 ½ tablespoon lemon juice
1 small onion, thinly sliced
1 small carrot, julienned
½ small capsicum, julienned
Salt and pepper to taste


1, Deep fry the chicken pieces on medium heat ( they should remain whitish ). Drain out and keep aside.

Sauce :

Heat the oil in a pan over high heat, add ginger and garlic paste and sliced onion. Stir fry for a while, add stock , salt, pepper , lemon juice and honey. Bring to a boil . Add corn flour mixture. Keep stirring.

Add juliennes of carrot and capsicum. Cook till sauce thickens. Add fried chicken pieces. Serve with steamed rice / noodles.
