Do you know a kid that doesn’t like bugs? I don’t! This is why we have every plastic bug imaginable, stored in its ziplock bag with similar species. For Bugs sensory tub, we gathered some leaves that the bugs like to eat. We lined a plastic box with a piece of felt, added some green pompoms and fake flowers. We added the leaves we gathered and let our plastic critters out.
To supplement the tub, we studied Bugs, the mini-encyclopedia . I love this cheap ( $3.99,) but very informative colorful book. I think it’s perfect for little kids, because it explains everything about different types of insects, without going into too much details. I also love the illustrations in this book.
