Bhindi Anaras ( Okra with Pineapple )


Ladies Finger - 250 gms 

Pineapple (Tinned) - 3 Slices. 
(If fresh, cut and boil before cooking)

Onion - 100 gms

Tomato - 50 gms

Cumin Seeds - 10 gms

Ginger-Garlic Paste - 20 gms 

Green Chilly - 10 gms

Red Chilli Powder - 10 gms

Turmeric Powder - 5 gms 

Corriander Powder - 20 gms

Garam Masala Powder - 10 gms 

Chaat Masala - 10 gms

Lemon - 1

Oil - 15 ml


Wash and cut ladies finger into 2-inch long pieces.

Cut juliennes of Pineapple. Slice onion and chop tomato and green chilly.

Heat oil and add cumin seeds. When they crackle, add sliced onion and cook till golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste.

Add masala powders and cook till the oil comes out. Add ladies finger and cook.

When the ladies finger is cooked and no longer sticky, add the tomatoes.

Mix well and cook covered for some more time.

Sprinkle garam masala, chaat masala, lemon and juliennes of Pineapple.

Garnish with chopped corriander and juliennes of pineapple.
