Lemons are
small yellow fruits with acidic nature. Lemon juice is used throughout the world in various cuisines to add flavor and taste to foods.

Nutrition Facts and Information about Lemon:

Very good amounts of copper, magnesium, manganese, iron, phosphorous, potassium and calcium are found in lemons. Small amounts of zinc and sodium can also be seen in lemons.

Vitamin Content:

Lemon contains excellent levels of vitamin c. It is also a good source of thiamin, vitamin c, vitamin b6, riboflavin and pantothenic acid. Lemon also contains traces of vitamin b 2.

Calorie Content of Lemon:

One lemon of approximately 100 g contains 22 calories of energy.

Health Benefits of Lemon:

Most of the health benefits of lemon can be attributed to the presence Vitamin C. Lemons are good for digestion, cancer, heart diseases, arthritis, boosting immune system, diabetes, liver disorders, infections, dental care, hair care, skin care, and urinary tract infections.
Uses of Lemon
Start your day with a glass of lemon juice and honey. It helps to reduce body weight.


Poached fish will be firmer and whiter if you add lemon juice to the cooking liquid.

After cutting smelly garlic or onions on a wood board, rub the surface with a slice of freshly cut lemon, rinse well and dry.

Remove fruit or berry stains from your hands by rinsing with lemon juice.

Lemons also make a great facial steam and are excellent for toning clogged pores.  Just slice a lemon in quarter and drop 2 a big bowl of steaming water.  Throw a towel over your head and hang in there for 10 minutes if you can stand it.  You'll do wonders for your oily skin!  I write more about lemons at my blog www.fedorazine.com
