I have a serious sweet tooth so a major challenge in clean eating has been finding things that are clean but also sweet. I of course eat a lot of fruit but I also need some go to snacks when I need a sweet tooth fix!
During my research I found that over at The Gracious Pantry Website there was a recipe for Clean Eating Chocolate Banana Ice Cream - it looked so good I had to try it myself. I didn't have cocoa in the house so I decided to try it out with just some berries instead of the cocoa and it was great! No need to sweeten with honey or other sweetener - the flavor was just right and the perfect hit-the-spot ice cream like taste that I needed for a snack!
Here's the Recipe!
Banana Berry Clean Cream
Ingredients: 2-3 large bananas 1 cup of mixed frozen berries (blueberries, raspberries etc... - fresh might work too but I used frozen) 1 cup of Organic non-fat milk
Instructions: Slice bananas and place in bowl then sit in refrigerator overnight (or at least until frozen all the way through), then pour banana slices and berries and milk into your food processor and turn it on! Easy as pie! You will have to stir it occasionally but once it whips up into a fluffy light texture you will be all set to enjoy some tasty clean cream!
And just think its nothing but fruit and 1 cup of milk! so low calorie and this recipe makes about 2-3 servings so this is truly guilt free!
