Apple tree mosaic is an easy craft to celebrate fall’s bounty. We’ve been going apple-picking a few times throughout this season and my kids have been fascinated by apple trees. This craft is easy enough for a two-year-old, yet interesting enough for an adult.
paper, crayon, glue and a mixture of seeds, beans, oats and/or lentils.
Draw an apple tree with big round apples. Cover its’ trunk with glue. Sprinkle the trunk with green lentils, corn, red lentils, seeds, oats: whatever you can find in the pantry. Continue the same action with all other areas of the tree: apples, leaves, etc. We used red lentils for apples and green lentils for the tree trunk. We also used some colored oats for leaves ( we put oats in a ziplock bag with some food coloring, shook the bag a few times and got our oats colored!)
