Mutton – 1 kg ( cleaned and chopped ) Onion – 150 g Tomato – 150 g Coconut paste – ½ cup Coriander powder – 25 g Chilly powder – 2 teaspoon Turmeric – a pinch Pepper – 1 teaspoon Jeera ( cumin seeds ) – ½ teaspoon Fennel - ½ teaspoon Salt – to taste Bay leaves – 2 Cloves – 4 Cinnamon- 1 – inch pieces – 3 Cardamom- 4
Star anise- 4 Aachi Mutton Masala - 50 g Water – 1 glass Aachi Sunflower oil – 1 tablespoon
Method
1, Heat oil in a kadai, add chopped onions , tomatoes , coconut paste and fry till golden brown.
2, Now add the mutton and sauté with Aachi Mutton Masala.
3, When half cooked , add the above spices and salt and cook with water. ( Cooking time approximately 30 – 45 minutes )
4, When the meat is tender and the gravy is thick , remove from the heat. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice / chapatti / parathas / pulao.
