A Buffalo Style Chicken Sausage Kind Of Night…

Posted Jun 08 2012 6:54am

It’s Friday, Friday!  Yay!  So glad to see this week go by already.  This week has seriously felt like a million years to go by.  I don’t know why it’s gone so slow.  I’m just glad that it’s over.  I have off on Monday so I will be having an extra long weekend.  I hope with this extra long weekend, I can get a lot of DIY wedding things sorted out and taken care of.  That is the goal!  The less I have to do at the last-minute, the better.  I’d rather not be super stressed the week of our wedding.  So I’m going to try to plan ahead and do as much as I can to make it as stress-free as humanly possible.

So yesterday seemed like anything that could go wrong, did go wrong unfortunately.  I was stressed at work because I had a lot of work and a lot of aggravating things happened.  When I left work, I needed to get gas in my car.  I pull up to the pump and my credit card doesn’t work.  I know I have money in my account.  So I move to a different pump.  Still doesn’t work.  This gas station is usually temperamental at times.  So I call the attendant over and the woman was so nasty screaming at me that it’s my card and my bank account, etc.  I was freaking out.  At this point I was supposed to pick up Melissa so we could go to the farmer’s market. Instead of picking her up, I went into her house to check my bank account on the computer and it was fine!  Thank goodness!  It must have been the pumps.

So we went to the farmer’s market and it was so disappointing!  I’m not sure if it’s because it was the opening day or what but they had no produce!  We were so irritated by that.  We ended up going to the produce store instead.  I then went back to their house and hung out for a while before heading home.

I actually spoke to my doctor on the phone while the gas pump fiasco was going on.  He is very concerned that I am still in so much pain and has decided to send me for further testing to check where the inflammation is in my intestine and how bad it is to determine how to treat me.  I’m just so frustrated and sick of being in pain.  I am willing to do anything at this point to feel better.  So I’m planning on scheduling the testing this morning.  I hope I can get in soon so we can take care of this already.

I decided to be a rebel last night and eat whatever I felt like.  I know I probably shouldn’t have but I did anyway.  I’m glad I did because it tasted amazing but my stomach didn’t think so after.

A couple of weeks ago, we picked up Al Fresco Chicken sausage because it was on sale at the supermarket.  We went with the Buffalo Style Chicken Sausage.

Al Fresco Buffalo Style Chicken Sausage

It was my first time trying Al Fresco.  I’ve always wanted to try it but it’s quite pricy in the store if it’s not on sale and you don’t have a coupon.  I like the fact that the sausages are made from lean, skinless chicken meat.  They contain no artificial ingredients, MSG, nitrates or preservatives.  They are also Gluten free.

I decided to grill the chicken sausage in my grill pan and I also roasted green beans, zucchini and potatoes.

My dinner plate

This was the best chicken sausage I ever had in my life!  I am a buffalo flavor fan but I don’t like things too spicy.  This just had a slight spice to it.  It wasn’t overpowering at all.  It had lots of flavor and I really enjoyed it.  For some reason when I was eating it, I kept thinking that it would taste great cut up over pasta.  I might have to try that!  Are you a fan of chicken sausage or sausage in general?

I’d say over the past year or so, I’ve gotten into chicken sausage.  I never had it before then.  I’m glad that I decided to try it. It really is good and is a great solution when you don’t know what to cook for dinner.  You can use it in so many different ways.  It’s really versatile when trying to create recipes.

So what is everyone doing this weekend?  Any big plans?  I’m not really sure yet but like I said, I want to do a bunch of wedding DIY items.  I’d also like to start picking music for the ceremony and the reception to get that out-of-the-way.  We still need to figure out our first dance song.  We have some ideas but we haven’t picked anything yet.  I’m hoping maybe we can figure that out as well.

Alright, well have a lovely Friday!
