Wednesday Morning Post Mortem

Posted Nov 03 2010 2:38am
Well, the election is over, and you're either happy or sad -- or perhaps you're still left hanging, as we are in Connecticut, where the Governor's race is still too close to call. There's not much else in the news today, but here are a couple of interesting tidbits
No surprise -- Politico reports that voting NO on health reform was a plus for Dems.

The LA Times reports on Mid-share, a system for sharing medical bills as an alternative to health insurance. I'm not sure it would work for people with high medical bills, but all experiments are welcome. Just ask lots of questions and make sure you're signing up with reputable people who don't leave you with all the bills.

If you're going into open enrollment, here are some tips.

I have no idea if this is a good thing or not, but the LA Times reports about a type of life insurance rider that you can buy and draw down on to help pay medical bills. Again, ask lots of questions.

That's it for now. I'll look around some more later, as the day unfolds. Jennifer
