Last week I became the newest member of Ragan.com’s healthcare marketing news team. I’ve been a subscriber to Ragan’s HMC News E-zine for quite some time, and they have been kind to feature my blog posts from time to time. I also follow @MarkRaganCEO and @RaganReporter (Jessica Levco, editor of Ragan’s Healthcare Marketing E-zine) on Twitter. Ragan is one of my favorite sources for information about what’s new in our field. I have three or four sources like this that I rely on to keep me up-to-speed. In addition to Ragan, I rely on Modern Healthcare’s Daily Dose eblast, HealthLeaders Media’s Daily News & Analysis eblast, and the daily eblasts from a number of heathcare marketing LinkedIn Groups.
The reason I started my blogs was to provide platforms for sharing news and information with other healthcare marketers. I’ve been doing this with my clients for two decades – emailing them interesting articles and passing along great books that I find along the way. The blogs allow me to do this for a wider audiences and on a more frequent basis. And I’ve found that I love doing it. Blogging has given me a vehicle for connecting with others in the field, and I’ve come to know some amazing people. I’m hoping that my experience with Ragan simply furthers my outreach in the field. I’m grateful for the opportunity to have yet another venue to connect with healthcare marketers.
