I just came across this post on Business week where they announce an electronic reading device from Amazon. The device is small, presents a clear rendering of text, and can also read text aloud. I find this interesting as our Congress debates the move from paper to electronic health records in the Stimulus Package.
If a big player like Amazon is moving to paperless devices...do you see a trend here?
Just a thought...I wonder what privacy and copyright issues are at stake. I wonder if there are opportunities to make health records work on a similar device to "read text aloud."
