Just recently in the news there was also a situation in Chicago that questioned a Cerner installation. With so much going on at present, it’s really
hard to comment one way or another as software vendors definitely have their hands full today. This could be more of an issue with the contractor too. Check out the related reading below and you can see a multitude of projects Cerner is currently involved with, including adding genomics to the medical records too, a big project to say the least. It appears this is a question of whether or not the system from Cerner will perhaps provide what the NHS has requested, so again without any details, it’s hard to comment one way or another and they are working with existing software installations that may need upgrading or replacement too. Cerner has many hospital installations in place in the US. BD
