New Health Insurance Plans from Priority Health

Posted Jan 28 2011 12:44pm

According to the article “Priority Health Offers New Individual, Family Plans” by Melissa Burden on The Detroit News, the state of Michigan will be seeing some new health insurance options.  Priority health insurance has launched new individual health insurance policies as well and family plans for Michigan residents.

Finding health insurance at great rates can be challenging but it’s been made a little easier with 4 MyPriority products available for adults 18 through 30 who have no dependents.  It also includes a preferred provider organization for single people, couples as well as families.  There’s a plan with a health savings account option for singles, couples and families and a 1-6 month plan for singles couples and families as well.

With health insurance becoming more competitive, consumers need to ensure they know what they are looking for and getting when choosing a plan.  The MyPriority plans offer preventative coverage in addition to routine and emergency care.  There are convenient deductible options and 3 of the plans offer prescription drug coverage.  The short term plan offers prescription discounts which can add up to a lot of savings over time.  Hopefully we will see more and more health insurance companies extending their options and making their products more competitive which is to all of our benefit.
