Live Video of our Node-to-Node, Publisher/Subscriber Architecture in Action!

Two weeks ago, at this link, I discussed the need for a convenient, low-cost, resource conserving, and secure way to exchange patient health information using a decentralized (peer-to-peer/node-to-node) publisher/subscriber cyber-architecture, e-mail, and desktop (standalone) software programs. I mentioned that we've successfully demonstrated such a system.
We now have a video of the system available for viewing. It shows a novel physician referral software system being presented live at Misericordia University on Sept 15, 2009 to 5 pediatric groups, representatives of the university, and members of the Northeast Pennsylvania Health Reform task force who are developing a health information exchange (HIE). In the video, my associate, Sabatini Monatesti, who was at Misericordia in PA, and I, in my office in New York, use nothing but Microsoft Office and Outlook e-mail to securely exchange electronic referral forms and a Continuity of Care Document via the system.
The video shows how, with a few mouse-clicks, authorized clinicians can exchange important patient information—quickly, securely, and inexpensively—using e-mail and standalone software programs.
