Integrated Healthcare Holdings Hospitals in Orange County Signs Contract with UnitedHealthGroup

IHHI should almost have their own book or soap opera as they have been through some very unusual ups and downs and the chain must have 9 lives. Apparently things are coming back under order since the former owner is now back in charge, and his funding comes from a hedge fund.
We are seeing more of this happening today but it was obvious good enough to help the chain of 4 hospitals sustain and perhaps find new payer contracts as indicated with UnitedHealthGroup. Take notice as the name has changed here with the “care” portion that has disappeared:)
This was actually a bidding situation with Prime Healthcare also having an interest.
The new agreement could help send more “insured” patients as some of their facilities rely heavily on Medicaid and Medicare for reimbursement. Private equity firms and other investors today have a big interest in hospitals and just an FYI, United also is in the business to make small loans too, as such was the case for this Petaluma facility.
CYPRESS, Calif.--( EON: Enhanced Online News )--UnitedHealthcare has announced a new network relationship with Integrated Healthcare Holdings, Inc. (IHHI), giving UnitedHealthcare commercial and Medicare health plan customers access to care provided by IHHI’s four hospitals in Orange County.
