How to implement organizational change - We know our purpose and strategic vision, but can one change agent change the world?

Posted Jul 02 2009 6:31pm

Our change agent has shared the vision of the new world with the organization. But truth be told one cowboy can't herd all those cats, you need a coalition. It is time for our change agent to pick the team. The team should be comprised of individuals who are dedicated to the new vision, are a part of the organization's culture, and are able to meet deadlines. This group will help to move the organization into the new state of existence.

With our healthcare it PMO, our change agent should have many colleagues engaged with this change effort. There should be the IT leadership team, for assuring the IS staff sees the value and benefits. There will need to be a senior leadership team of the hospital, to be the customer's voice for helping determine a work intake mechanism which works for the organization, clarifying the roles of sponsor ship, and even supporting training which will need to occur for the organization. It will take a good performing team to help advance the organization.
