Health Care Bill and Ergonomics

The hot topic these days is the pending health care bill. Most people and businesses are wondering how will it will affect them. After discussing the bill with a local state representative, I realize that, despite strong feelings and varying points of view, one thing is true: This bill will put an emphasis on preventative health care practices!  

Ergonomics has been a vital part of the business culture in Europe and Asia for quite some time. Companies there have seen and been enjoying the benefits for years. Unfortunately, most business in the United States have been slow to adopt an ergonomics program into their corporate culture. The good news is that the new health bill will put us one step closer to understanding the benefits and importance of an ergonomics program.
