Posted by blossom123

my husband had tripple heart by pass surgery in jan. the surgery went very well and he no linger has angina we were told. however, his taste buds changed. water aand alot of drinks taste like metal, also some foods taste that way too. the dr. says it is not related but he never had this before. i read on the internet that cyclohexanone a chemical in the plastic tubing they us for iv. could cause this to happen, if this is so, do you know how long it lasts? or is it permanent? he is ver upset over this and avoids eating certain foods and drinking certain drinks he used to love. i would appreciate an answer asap. thanks,  shelley
