Federal Information Technology spending will increase in the next five years even as overall defense spending declines, according to TechAmerica Foundation’s 46th Annual Vision Forecast released today. Interviewees identified new drivers for growth in IT budgets including healthcare, energy efficiency and business intelligence. Those are expected to join improvements to citizen services, cybersecurity and other established sources of demand.
