EMR Education and Training in Medical Schools remains Inadequate

Are educators in medical schools teaching medical students sufficiently regarding the use of Information Technology tools such as Electronic Medical Records or Electronic Health Record Portals? Not so, according to Dr. Nikki Shaw, Research Chair, Health Informatics
University of Alberta, Edmonton.
In the final CanadianEMR Podcast for 2008, Dr. Shaw discusses her experiences and research findings regarding training programs in Canada. She also discusses some interesting observations regarding the use of EMR systems by physicians who have adopted EMRs and used them extensively.
