Came across this tucked away in a EPA Homeland Security Manual. This product was originally test against weapons grade anthrax when the anthrax mailings were happening. After 8 years of research , development and rigorous US Government testing Decon Shield is now approved and listed by the EPA for use as a commercial decontaminant. Decon Shield is recommended for decontamination in the Guide for the Selection of Chemical Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Decontamination Equipment for Emergency First Responders- Department of Homeland Security Pages 363-364. This product is mostly water and is totally safe for humans & the environment. My question is why aren’t the hospitals that are giving us these infections using this?http://www.deconshield.com
I bought some of the ready to use Decon Shield fabric protector and spray my nurses clothes after 20 washes. I just feel better knowing that I'm not carrying diseases back home. I'm also ready with my own face mask protection that I sprayed with Decon Shield , when ever there is an air borne breakout in the hospital it comes out of my locker.
