CDI, Promega partner to develop in-vitro assays for drug discovery

Cellular Dynamics International (CDI) and Promega have entered into a research collaboration with the goal of collaborating on a research project whose goal is to improve and speed up the drug discovery process. Pharmaceutical discovery scientists will now be able to combine bioassays with human cardiomyocytes designed to aid drug discovery and improve the predictability of drug efficacy and toxicity screens, weeding out ineffective and potentially toxic compounds early in the pharmaceutical pipeline process before significant time and resources have been invested.
