There’s a good post this morning on “A Healthy Blog” by Deborah W. Wachenheim about hand hygiene programs in Boston Area Hospitals. The Tufts program that we helped to create is featured prominently. Here’s an excerpt:
“Hospitals in the Boston area are getting creative as they work to increase the number of health care providers who wash or sanitize their hands.
WBUR reported today on efforts at Mass General and Tufts Medical Center to use humor and music, as well as undercover handwashing “agents,” to get the attention of staff. Staff at MGH made a rap video about Cal Stat, a hand sanitizer used at the hospital. View the rap video, which features sunglasses, dance moves, and more, on the WBUR website. MTV, here they come.”
