This is a nice interview and they didn’t have to mine and scrape our data to do this. When you look at what’s coming out today with billionaires, they mine and scrape out data to do it and with the Gates, we have maturity with money made by helping us being more efficient.
They talk contraceptives, things that are helping the “real world” and not just a virtual world. Those do something in the real world versus just a bunch of data.
Also they talk about vaccines and the few number of children that are dying. Again we have tangibles here with technology being used for vaccines. Their mission is “silent” Bill Gates says as it is invisible. The two of them collaborate and learn from each other Melinda stated and are “interested” in what the other has to say.
In 1993, Bill and Melinda Gates—then engaged—took a walk on a beach in Zanzibar, and made a bold decision on how they would make sure that their wealth from Microsoft went back into society. In a conversation with Chris Anderson, the couple talks about their work at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, as well as about their marriage, their children, their failures and the satisfaction of giving most of their wealth away.
