The Wauwatosa firm, Addiction Therapeutix Inc., has received an exclusive license from the University of Copenhagen for the treatment of cocaine addiction. The technology is based on research by Dr. David Woldbye, PhD, Associate Professor of neuropsychiatry at the University of Copenhagen, using neuropeptide Y Y5 antagonist compounds for the treatment of cocaine addiction. The Laboratory of Neuropsychiatry is formed by a group of scientists whose major focus is the study of addiction.
