$2.7B in Medicaid Meaningful Use Pay Distributed in 2011Reporting Technology’s Impact on Healthcare

A Government Accountability Office report finds that eligible hospitals and health care providers received a total of about $2.7 billion in Medicaid meaningful use incentive payments last year. About 39% of the hospitals and about 33% of the professionals eligible for the Medicaid portion of the program in 2011 received incentive payments, the report notes. Politico‘s “Pulse,” GAO report.
