Will Botox Earn You More Money? You Decide

Posted Jun 10 2011 12:00am
Forbes author Melanie Haiken had an interesting perspective in her article published yesterday suggesting that Botox and other cosmetic procedures may help you earn more money.

Botox Specials Connecticut , Dysport, Juvederm and other cosmetic procedures help take “years” off the face, which Melanie says is just the thing that a career woman needs.

“If youth equals beauty, well, beauty in turn equals money. Numerous studies over the years have documented the reality of the 'beauty premium' in the workplace. One study at the University of Texas even put percentages on it; plain people earn 5 to 10 percent less than average people, researchers concluded, while the “better than average” jump their earnings another 5 to 8 percent,” Haiken explains.
While this may be true, my question is whether or not investing in Botox promotions Connecticut is really making one look “better than average”? Take a look at the below photos as an example. Which version of the women would you rather give a pay raise to?
Interestingly enough, the number one reason that people report getting cosmetic procedures done is to look better for work.
If you do decide to undergo botox or plastic surgery my best advice to you would be to start small and start temporary. Products such as Juvederm and Botox are tempoary and the changes are usually subtle.
