White House Hispanic Initiative Executive Director to Discuss Impact of Budget on Hispanic-Serving Institutions

Juan Sepúlveda, executive director of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics, will participate on a panel at the Hispanic Association of Colleges and University’s (HACU) 16th Annual National Capitol Forum in Washington, D.C. The panel, which will analyze the impact of the Obama Administration’s proposed budget on Hispanic-Serving Institutions, will take place at 3:15 p.m. EDT on Monday, April 4, at the Westin Washington, D.C., City Center Hotel. Sepúlveda will also highlight the Administration’s efforts to address Latino-specific education issues surrounding college access and completion.

This annual event brings together education advocates to shape and promote increasing higher education access and attainment for Hispanic students. Participants include leaders of HACU, members of partner colleges and universities, policymakers and federal agency staff along with corporate, community and philanthropic representatives.
