Juan Sepúlveda, executive director of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics, will deliver remarks at the New Mexico State University 2011 Hispanic Faculty/Staff Caucus Leadership Summit Monday in Las Cruces, N.M.
At 10 a.m., Sepúlveda will participate in a panel discussion on "Research, Politics, and Policy: New Roles of Public Research Universities." At noon, Sepúlveda will give luncheon remarks during which he will discuss the Obama administration's strategies to increase Latino students' access to a quality education and improve their rates of education attainment to keep the U.S. competitive in a global economy.
