U.S. Under Secretary of Education Martha Kanter will address the National Council on Disability’s National Summit on Disability Policy 2010 at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Washington, D.C. Entitled, “Living, Learning, and Earning,” the summit brings together more than 500 disability rights advocates, federal agency leaders, academics, and parents of children with disabilities. Kanter’s remarks will focus on the importance of policy coordination among all levels of government, highlighting the ways education, health, and employment policy intersect to meet the real life challenges of students with disabilities.
