U.S. Department of Education Senior Official to Participate in NASA's Future Forum at University of Maryland, College Park

Michael Lach, special assistant for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Education, will moderate a panel discussion at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Future Forum at 2:45 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11. The forum will take place on the University of Maryland's College Park campus in the Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center. Lach will moderate the session "Inspiration/Education: Building Idea Factories for the Future," highlighting the Obama Administration's efforts to promote STEM education nationwide.

NASA's Future Forums bring together agency officials and local business, science and education leaders to discuss the agency's role in advancing innovation, technology, science, engineering, and education.
