Jim Shelton, assistant deputy secretary for innovation and improvement at the U.S. Department of Education, will deliver remarks at the Department’s Office of Special Education Programs’ (OSEP) annual project directors meeting at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 22, in Washington, D.C. Shelton will provide an overview of the Department’s priorities and innovation agenda with specific emphasis on the Administration’s blueprint for reform: Reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act.
The Office of Special Education Programs is dedicated to improving results for infants, toddlers, children and youth with disabilities ages birth through 21 by providing leadership and financial support to assist states and local districts.
