Supplements don’t help reduce prostate cancer

Posted Jul 01 2009 6:47pm

Disappointing news from America. According to this story in Men’s Health the US government is stopping the National Cancer Institute’s SELECT study of whether vitamin E and selenium prevent prostate cancer – because the supplements aren’t working and there’s a hint of risk.

This means the search for a reliable diet to help prevent prostate cancer goes on. The failure only serves to emphasise the importance of a balanced, healthy diet – food is still the best way to get your vitamins and nutrients.

When surgery is the only option London Bridge Hospital in London leads the way.
